India has taken out its 283 citizens from Myanmar. These Indian people were forced to commit cyber crime by luring attractive jobs. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has informed that Indian embassies in Myanmar and Thailand have taken out Indian citizens by coordinating with local authorities.
Help of air force aircraft
On Monday, the Indian Air Force aircraft has ensured a safe return of Indian citizens from Mai Sot in Thailand. The Ministry of External Affairs said that- “These people were later forced to participate in cyber crime and other activities of cheating in scam centers operated in areas bordering Myanmar-Thailand.”

The Ministry of External Affairs said in its statement- “The Government of India is constantly making efforts to release and return home to Indian citizens sent with fake job offers in various South-Eastern Asian countries including Myanmar. Indian embassies in Myanmar and Thailand have ensured 283 Indian citizens by the Indian Air Force aircraft today by coordinating with local authorities.
Citizen should check jobs- Ministry
The Ministry of External Affairs has advised Indian citizens to confirm the credibility of foreign employers through missions abroad and check the previous records of recruitment agents and companies before accepting the job offer. Earlier in December too, the Indian Embassy had announced the release of six Indian citizens trapped in the premises of the job scam in Mywadi, Myanmar. (input language)
