Strict message to Pakistan
The Prime Minister warned the terrorists and their “guardians” (ie Pakistan) and said that they would be found in any corner of the earth and punished. He said that the punishment will be given beyond his imagination.
India has taken strict action before
2016: After the Uri attack, India carried out a surgical strike across the LOC.
2019: 40 CRPF jawans were martyred in the Pulwama attack, after which India did Balakot air strike.

Pakistan’s response
In response to India’s footsteps, Pakistan has suspended the Shimla Agreement and banned the entry of India’s aircraft into its aerial border. This may further increase tension between the two countries.
