India has successfully inactivated an air defense system in Lahore, giving a befitting and balanced reply to military provocation by Pakistan. The action was taken by Pakistan on the night of 7-8 May after an attempt by Pakistan to target Indian military bases with drones and missiles.
The Indian Ministry of Defense said in a press briefing under the ‘Operation Sindoor’ that India’s reply was “concentrated, balanced and non-exhausted”. India clarified that it had not targeted any military establishment of Pakistan earlier, but if India’s military bases were attacked, the appropriate reply would be given – and that is done.
Pakistan tried to attack through drones and missiles in several cities including Jammu, Pathankot, Srinagar, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Bhuj, Chandigarh, which was failed by India’s integrated UAS grid and air defense systems.
India’s modern air defense structure played a decisive role in this action-especially the S-400 Triumph system derived from Russia. The S-400 system deployed in sensitive areas of Punjab and Western India detected Pakistani missiles and drones in time and issued an alert. India saved itself from possible major damage due to its long distance target and the capacity of accurate interception. This gave the Indian Army necessary time to decide the counter -strategy.
Now debris is being recovered from those places, which proves Pakistan’s involvement. India targeted air defense radar and other military systems at several locations in Pakistan in retaliation on Thursday morning. In this attack, an air defense system in Lahore has been deactivated, which has been confirmed from reliable sources.
In addition, Pakistan fired with heavy mortars and cannons in areas such as Uri, Poonch, Rajouri, and Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir without any provocation, killing 16 innocent citizens including three women and five children. India also retaliated on this, so that Pakistani shelling could be stopped.
The Indian armed forces again reiterated that they do not intend to increase tension, but if Pakistan continues to instigate, the reply will be replied.
