India warned Pakistan: In 'Operation Sindoor', we have restrained, could have shown more strictness

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has said that India took a lot of restraint in the recent Operation Sindoor, while he could take more strict action. He made this statement in the context of this military campaign launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, targeting the bases of terrorist organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba. Singh said in a statement on Wednesday, “We could have done much more, but India demonstrated its strength and restraint.”

Operation Sindoor, which began on 7 May, was India’s largest border cross -military operation, which aims to destroy nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK). BrahMos missiles were used in this campaign, which made India feel the strength of the Pakistani Army headquarters in Rawalpindi. Singh said, “We not only targeted military bases near the border, but our action was felt to Rawalpindi.”

The operation was launched on 22 April in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, in which 26 people, most of the tourists, were killed. The Indian armed forces destroyed the bases of organizations such as Jaish-e-Mohammed and Hizbul Mujahideen, killing more than 100 terrorists. Singh insisted that this operation was not only a military action, but also a symbol of India’s anti -terrorism policy and political will.

On May 10, the ceasefire was agreed between India and Pakistan, after which both countries stopped military actions. However, Singh warned that the ceasefire depends on Pakistan’s behavior. Addressing the soldiers at Bhuj Air Force Station, he said, “We have kept Pakistan to test. If its behavior improves, it is fine, otherwise it will be punished.”

Singh also said that India did not target citizens in this operation, while Pakistan tried to attack Indian civilian areas, temples, gurdwaras and churches. He demanded the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to reconsider the assistance of $ 1 billion to Pakistan, stating that it is like an indirect financing terrorism.

The Defense Minister praised the armed forces, who carried out the campaign with accuracy and professionalism. He said, “Our army showed that India no longer tolerates, but replies.” Operation Sindoor was also described by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as part of India’s new anti -terrorism policy, including a strategy to directly target terrorist bases.
