New Delhi. India has decided to release a tourist visa again for Chinese tourists. For the last 5 years, this process was going on suspended, now India has taken this step in view of the improvement relations between the two countries. It has been told by the Indian Embassy in China that from July 24, tomorrow, Chinese citizens can apply for India’s tourism visa. In the year 2020 during the era of Kovid-19, India imposed temporary ban on all tourist visas. Due to the struggle of India and China troops in the Galwan Valley, there was a tussle in the relationship, due to which the visa service was still closed.
It has also been clarified by the Indian Embassy that the applications submitted at the Indian Visa Center in Beijing will have to give ‘passport withdrawal letter’ duly at the time of the passport withdrawal. Chinese citizens applying for the visa will have to fill the online form and take an appointment. After this, the printout of the application form will have to be submitted along with passports and other documents on time. Let us tell you that on October 2024 between India and China, there was a border agreement on patrolling LAC in Depsang and Demchok. Since then, there has been a soft relationship between the two countries.
A few days after the border agreement, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping had a bilateral meeting in Kazan, Russia, discussing visas, trade and other issues, including strengthening mutual relations between the two countries. After this, early this year, there was a theoretically agreed to start direct air service between India and China, allow Indians to travel Kailash Mansarovar and Chinese citizens.
