New Delhi. There has been a discussion in the media for a long time that the ceasefire between India and Pakistan is going to end on 18 May 2025. The Indian Army has now issued a statement on these discussions. The Indian Army has said that India’s DGMO has no conversation with the DGMO of Pakistan on 18 May. The army has said that such reports are coming in the media that the ceasefire between India and Pakistan is going to end on Sunday. According to the Indian Army, such reports have created confusion among the people. In such a situation, the army has clearly told the people whether military action will start again against Pakistan or not. In fact, Pakistan Deputy PM Ishaq Dar claimed that there is a ceasefire between India and Pakistan till 18 May 2025 and on this date, the DGMOs of both countries will talk again.
The Indian Army has stated in its statement that speculation about the ceasefire end between India and Pakistan is wrong. The Indian Army has also reported that on May 12, it was agreed to increase the ceasefire between its DGMO and Pakistan’s DGMO. According to the Indian Army, no date has been set for the end of the ceasefire from Pakistan. That is, the ceasefire between India and Pakistan’s army is going to continue indefinitely. In fact, on behalf of India, PM Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh have clearly stated that the operation against Pakistan is not ended, but only it has been postponed. For this reason, there was speculation that the ceasefire between the two countries could end.
After the massacre of 26 tourists in Pahalgam, India had devised 9 hideouts, including the headquarters of terrorist organizations Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen, on May 7 while running Operation vermilion. After this, Pakistan tried to attack India on the night of 8 and 9 May. Responding to which the Indian Army and Air Force attacked 11 airbase and 2 radar stations in Pakistan with missiles. Fearful of this, Pakistan pleaded for a ceasefire on the afternoon of May 10. After which the ceasefire between India and Pakistan is going on from the same evening.
