The 66 -year -old Indian engineer working in Saudi Arabia, three decades ago, was arrested at the Saudi Airport on returning from Haj pilgrimage. He is accused that he presented a fake degree certificate at the introduction of his job.
These Indian engineers have worked in Saudi for the last 18 years, while 12 years ago he returned to India and started living with his family. Recently he made a Haj pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina. However, while leaving from Saudi Arabia, officials at the airport stopped him and said that a 30 -year -old case is still active against him, alleging that he had allegedly submitted a fake engineering degree certificate to get a job.
Currently, this engineer, dependent on his weak health and wheelchairs, is participating in the investigation process in Saudi Arabia and is not allowed to leave the country until this process is complete. According to the report of ‘Andhra Jyoti’, he has described himself as innocent and said that he had completed engineering studies from a reputed college in Bangalore in 1990 and was not involved in any kind of forgery.
However, according to the report, Saudi officials are claiming that even though the degree is real, if the Embassy has not been verified according to the correct process, he will also be considered forgery. Officials clarified that only the official assession processes are recognized and any irregularity will be seen as a serious offense.
