A top Navy official said on Sunday that the Indian Navy’s carrier war group, submarines and aviation assets were immediately deployed to the sea after the Pahalgam terror attack.
The Navy Director General of Operations Vice Admiral AN Pramod said that the Navy forces are stationed on the advance front in the North Arabian Sea and are fully prepared to attack selected targets on sea and land including Karachi. Vice Admiral was addressing a press conference with his military counterparts on India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’.
The Navy Director General of Operations (DGNO) said that the Navy tested and reflected strategies and procedures in the sea during several arms firing in the Arabian Sea within 96 hours of the terrorist attack. He said, “It aims to re -certify the readiness of our crew, armament, equipment and platforms, so that various armaments could be accurately demolished at selected goals.”
DGNO said the aircraft carrier was deployed in the Arabian Sea after the terrorist attack on 22 April, killing 26 civilians. The carrier war group is a naval fleet consisting of an aircraft carrier and ships that come with him.
Vice Admiral Pramod said that the advance deployment of the Indian Navy forced the Pakistani Navy and air units to live in defensive currency, which was mostly close to the ports or very close to their coast. He said, “The Indian Navy maintained uninterrupted awareness in the maritime field and was fully aware of the status and movement of Pakistani units.” “In fact, using our piracy awareness grid, we had good battlefield transparency and still,” he said.
DGNO said, “Under India’s well thought out approach, we considered all options including the Indian Navy’s ability to take aggressive action from the sea and inside the sea.” He said, “The Navy’s plan to use force as a part of the stress control mechanism was coordinated with the Army and the Air Force, the main attractions of which were teams of the three armies that were working in an integrated manner.”
Vice Admiral Pramod said, “The Indian Army and the Indian Air Force’s dynamic actions as well as the Indian Navy’s tremendous operational ability in the sea succeeded Pakistan’s immediate ceasefire request yesterday.” He said that the Indian Navy is posted in a reliable preventive position in the sea to decisively respond to any hostile action of terrorists in Pakistan or Pakistan.
India made accurate attacks on the terrorist infrastructure on the morning of 7 May, after which Pakistan tried to attack Indian military bases on 8, 9 and 10 May. The Indian side gave a strong reply to the Pakistani operations and caused heavy damage to several major military establishments of the Air Force, including Air Force bases, air defense systems, command and control centers and radar sites. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri announced on Saturday evening that India and Pakistan had agreed to stop all firing and military operations on land, air and sea with immediate effect.
