New Delhi. US President Donald Trump announced a 25 % tariff on India on Wednesday. It has not been revealed when India will apply this penalty on India, but it has definitely come to light that what things to be exported to America from India will not be charged.
The executive order issued by Donald Trump to impose a 25 % tariff on India, states that crude oil, diesel, refined fuel like petrol and ATF, LNG, coal, electrical equipment, medicines, smartphones and electronics have been excluded. According to data, India had exported petroleum products worth more than $ 4 billion to the US in the last financial year. Apart from this, Donald Trump is sending senior advisor to South Asia Affairs Ricky Gill to India to talk to India on the trade agreement. Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal also made a statement in Parliament about this. Piyush Goyal had said that four rounds of talks have been held between India and the US to decide the terms of the trade agreement. According to the information, Trump wants to open India’s markets for the agriculture, service and dairy sector of America. Whereas, India is adamant on keeping these areas out of trade agreement. So that farmers, entrepreneurs and small businessmen are not harmed.
