New Delhi. On US President Donald Trump’s USAID revelations, India said, it is a matter of great concern. Trump has claimed that the US International Development Agency (USAID) released a 21 million US dollar fund to influence India’s election. Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said that we have received information given by the US administration regarding some American activities and funding. The concerned departments and agencies are looking into the matter. This is a very serious and disturbing subject.

Jaiswal said, this has raised concerns about foreign intervention in India’s internal affairs. It is too early in this regard to make public comments on our behalf. At present, the concerned officials are investigating this only after that we will give updates on it. Addressing the FII Priority Summit in Florida, Trump said on Thursday that it was exposed to influencing the voting process in India to his concerns on foreign intervention in the US elections. He said that I think he was trying to elected someone else in India. We have to tell the Government of India. While maintaining his respect for India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Trump questioned the need to spend millions on voting percentage in a foreign country.
