On Thursday evening, an Indigo flight going from Guwahati to Chennai released a ‘Mayday’ call and made an emergency landing at the Kemp Gowda international airport in Bengaluru. It is being told that there were a total of 168 passengers in this Airbus A321 aircraft (flight number 6E-6764).
The aircraft took off from Guwahati at 4:40 pm and tried to land in Chennai around 7:45 pm. However, at the time of landing, the pilot felt problems on the runway and decided to “fly again). After this, the aircraft turned to Bangalore. About 35 miles from Bengaluru, the pilot, finding the fuel situation very serious, declared a ‘Made’ call, which is an international warning given in any emergency. The flight made a safe landing at Bangalore Airport at 8:20 pm. Thankfully, all the passengers were safe during this time.
DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) has started investigating the incident to find out how the aircraft had to reach this position and how to stop such cases in future.

Passengers felt a fast and sudden height climb during the aircraft’s Go-Around (flying after trying to land after trying to land at Bangalore Airport, causing chaos inside the aircraft. Many passengers described it as a very scary moment and said that he had serious concern about his life.
Seeing the seriousness of the condition of the aircraft, the airport officials were immediately alerted. Medical and fire service teams were on standby before landing, so that any emergency could be dealt with. Preliminary investigation has been started after the incident. According to media reports, both the pilots are currently removed from duty and they will remain out of flight operations till the investigation is completed. However, this action has not been officially confirmed by IndiGo yet.
Technical fault in another IndiGo flight, Chennai had to return amid flight
Another concern for Indigo Airlines has come to light. An Indigo flight going from Chennai to Madurai on Friday faced technical problems during the flight, after which the aircraft was safely returned to Chennai Airport. According to sources, there were 68 passengers in the aircraft and as soon as the technical problem came to light, the pilot decided to return immediately. Following all the security protocols, the passengers were safely taken off from the aircraft.
Although there was no loss of life and property in this incident, this incident has come to light after an emergency incident a day earlier, which has raised questions about the operation of IndiGo.
