Albert said that he recognizes the couple, as he had offered to serve him to see the bridge with famous living roots in Nongriat on the last day, but he had politely refused and hired another guide.

Sonam’s father Devi Singh Raghuvanshi told PTI, “My daughter has been kidnapped and she is still in the clutches of the kidnappers. Meghalaya Police is not investigating the case properly. They have been negligent since the beginning. I have been demanding the deployment of the army since the day of their disappearance. If this was done, they would have been safe.”
