New Delhi. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation i.e. IRCTC has exposed a huge scam in ticket booking. While attacking cybercrime, IRCTC investigated and found that a large racket of railway ticket booking is going on. This racket used to book railway tickets in seconds through fake user IDs and bots. Due to this, those taking tickets of trains in immediate and other ways were facing problems. According to the news of the news channel India TV, despite the facility of ticket booking 2 months before the journey for railway reservation, people were complaining that they do not get tickets when they want to reserve.
When such complaints continuously came to IRCTC, they paid attention to it. Passengers from IRCTC usually complained that all the seats are booked in a few minutes as soon as the reservation starts. Because of this, people were not even getting RAC tickets and most of the waiting list would get a ticket. Following the complaint of passengers, IRCTC started investigation and found that the cyber fraud network was behind it. This network used to bypass the general way of booking tickets from fake IDs and scripts and booked tickets quickly. This would have booked all the seats of the train by the time the chance of common passengers came.
IRCTC carried forward the investigation. It was observed that in the last 5 months 2.5 lakh PNR reservation was formed with the commencement of process. This made it clear that there is something wrong with the train ticket booking. After this, 2.5 crore fake user IDs used to do train tickets were blocked. By securing confirmed tickets from these fake IDs, cyber criminals involved in the network used to sell passengers at a higher price. IRCTC investigation revealed that the bookiers booked quickly resorted to automatic tools and bots. That is, they already put the name of the passenger in the system, putting the date of travel, and the ticket of the concerned passenger would have been booked automatically as soon as the ticket sales started. Now anti -bot software has been installed in the reservation system. Officials say that this will not cause problems in booking tickets to millions of passengers.
