Israel showed wrong map of India.
India and Israel have had friendly relations for a long time. India has stood with Israel on many issues including Hamas attack on Israel and massacre of civilians, war with Hezbollah. However, a big mistake has been made by Israel regarding the map of India due to which many Indians have become angry. Actually, Israel had posted a map of India on its website in which a part of Jammu and Kashmir is shown as part of Pakistan. When users raised the issue of wrongdoing on social media, the Israeli Ambassador to India immediately took cognizance of the matter.
What is the whole controversy?
Actually, on social media platform X, a user named Abhijit Chavda raised questions about the Indian map uploaded on the official website of Israel. Abhijeet wrote- “India stands with Israel, but does Israel stand with India? Pay attention to the map of India (Jammu and Kashmir) on the official website of Israel.” Actually, in this map, a part of Jammu and Kashmir of India has been shown as part of Pakistan.
Users angry on social media?
Many users have expressed their protest against the wrong map of India by tagging the handles of the Israeli Embassy and the government. One user wrote that PoK is and will remain an integral part of India. At least our friendly countries should avoid insulting us with Chinese version maps. Hopefully this mistake will be corrected. At the same time, another user asked Israel why there is a wrong Indian map on your national website. India supports you in every possible way but why Israel is not supporting the sovereignty of Indian map.
Israeli ambassador took cognizance
Israeli Ambassador to India Reuven Azar has also taken cognizance of the protests on social media. Responding to this tweet, he said that this is the mistake of the website editor. Thanks for your attention. This map has been removed.
