Israel showed Kashmir in Pakistani part, later apologized, what did you say?

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) shared a map on social media on Friday, June 13, 2025, in which Jammu and Kashmir wrongly shown Pakistan’s part of Pakistan and parts of Northeast India in Nepal. The map was posted to show the Iran’s missile scope, which came out after the ‘Operation Rising Lion’ amidst Israel-Iran tension.

Indian social media users reacted sharply to this mistake, some tagged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and described it as an insult to India’s sovereignty. Users like the Indian Right Wing Community wrote, “Now it is understood why India remains neutral. There is no true friend in diplomacy.”

90 minutes later, IDF apologized, saying, “This is a portrayal of the post area. This map does not reflect the boundaries accurately. We apologize for any hurt.” Israeli Ambassador Ruven Azar described it as “unknowingly wrong” infographic and assured to remove or improve the map.

Congress leader Pawan Khera taunted the foreign government’s foreign policy on the incident and described it as embarrassment for “Vishwaguru”. India has always reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are its integral parts, as the recently reiterated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the Pahgam terror attack.

The incident occurred despite India-Israel’s strong defense and business relations, where India is Israel’s leading military equipment buyer and business partner.
