Foreign woman apologizes after the dispute escalated
Odisha: Controversy has come to light over Lord Jagannath’s tattoo. A foreign woman got the tattoo of Lord Jagannath on her thigh. The foreign woman got the tattoo done in Bhubaneswar’s ‘Rocky Tattoos’ parlor. This revealed the hurting religious sentiments. In this case, the police have arrested Tattoo artist and parlor owner Rocky Ranjan Bishoi.
How was the matter disputed?
After the matter came to light, religious organizations of Bhubaneswar lodged a complaint against the parlor owner at Sahiad Nagar police station. On the basis of the complaint, the police registered a case under sections 299, 196, 3 (5) of BNS and arrested Rocky Bishoi.
Parlor owner and woman apologize
Seeing the public’s anger, both Rocky Bishoi and foreign women have apologized through social media. Rocky Bishoi apologized, saying, “I wholeheartedly apologize, because this tattoo was made in our studio. The woman is an Italian citizen and a devotee of Lord Jagannath. He had talked about getting this tattoo done on his own will. Since she works in an NGO, where open tattoos are not allowed, for this reason she opted to make the tattoo on her thigh. I suggested them to remove tattoos or cover them with any other tattoo, but she will be able to remove it only after 25 days due to the risk of infection. ”
At the same time, the foreign woman also released an apology and said, “I had no idea that my acts would hurt someone’s feelings. I am a devotee of Lord Jagannath. This was my fault and I regret it deeply. As soon as my tattoo is fine, I will cover it. Please forgive me. “
Police investigation continues
Police investigation in this case is still going on. After this incident related to religious sentiments, the administration has appealed to the people to maintain peace and keep their talk within the purview of law.
