Rajat Sharma and Ritu Dhawan gave awards to winners
New Delhi: Jaipur Delta and Carisil Jindal collided in the final match of BMC Advisors Northern India Polo Championship. In this match, Jaipur Delta won the championship by defeating Carisil Jindal with a score of 13-7. Rajat Sharma, Chairman and Editor -in -Chief of India TV, was the chief guest of this match. He was accompanied by his wife and India TV managing director Ritu Dhawan on the occasion. Rajat Sharma and Ritu Dhawan presented the award and trophy to the winning team.

In fact, BMC Advisors Northern India Polo Championship began on March 10, 2025 with a brilliant opening ceremony. This championship is more than 102 years old. According to the organizers of the program Brijesh Mathur and Sushma Mathur, this year’s championship is special for many reasons.

Asked about the difference in the championship last year and this time, Brijesh Mathur said that last year BMC Advisors Northern India was the first edition of the Polo Championship, this year we have improved the event with many exciting things. Our championship is more than 102 years old and this year we did live streaming of both exhibition matches and finals, which were seen worldwide. This time the number of participants has also increased.

Four top teams took part
Four top teams participated in the championship. These teams were-Achievers, Jaipur Delta, Jindal Panther and Carisil Jindal. Brijesh Mathur said, BMC Advisors Northern India Polo Championship is not a new event, as it has a rich history which is more than a century old. The tournament is now in its 103rd year and we are proud to continue its legacy.

He said- Our goal is to establish a new standard in the world of Polo. By doing this, we want to promote this game and motivate more players to join it. Currently, there are only 40 to 50 professional polo players in India. We hope that by hosting such events, we can increase this number and attract more attention to polo in the country.
Ritu Dhawan said the match was quite interesting. A lot should be done to make polo and popular. Players work hard, yet unuser remains a hero. Rajat Sharma praised Brajesh Mathur, the organizer of this championship. He said that I want to congratulate Brajesh Mathur a lot for the way this polo was organized. This was the most spectacular event in all the tournaments I have seen. Rajat Sharma said that Navij Jindal also told me that I have been playing polo for 35 years and I did not see such an event, the organizer of this tournament Brajesh Mathur said that all the teams played well.
