New Delhi. There has been an uproar to sending illegal Indian migrants from America to handcuffs and fetters back. The opposition has termed the illegal Indian migrants to be handcuffed and imposed as an insult to India and the citizens. At the same time, Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar has given a statement in this matter, saying that the Modi government is talking to America in this regard. So that it can be ensured that there is no abuse from illegal Indian migrants being sent back. External Affairs Minister Jaishankar also said in his statement in the Rajya Sabha that illegal Indian migrants were stranded in inhuman situation in America.

Foreign Minister Jaishankar made a statement in the Rajya Sabha after the opposition’s uproar. He said that it is the responsibility of all countries that if their citizens have been found living illegally in some other country, then they should be withdrawn. External Affairs Minister Jaishankar said that immigration and Customs Enforcement Authority i.e. ICE is responsible for exile and implementation in the US. There is a provision to exercise restraint in the standard operating proceduate proceedings of ICE from ICE, ie SOP 2012. The Foreign Minister told the Rajya Sabha that the ICE has informed the Government of India that women and children are not stopped.
