The Romeo Force of the Indian Army is providing medicines and ration to the local people in the areas of Poonch district near the Line of Control (LoC), which have been greatly affected by Pakistani shelling.
The force of force also interacted with the locals during their visit, who said that their houses were damaged in shelling on 9 May.

Earlier, the Indian Army had taken a human initiative by organizing a free medical camp in Naraina village of Akhnoor sector near the border.
The purpose of the camp was to provide quality health services to the residents of the border areas. Many local people including children, women and the elderly attended the camp. The army medical team conducted a health check -up and distributed free medicines to the needy people.
Camps were also set up to provide food and education to the villagers in the border areas. Local people expressed their opinion on the facilities being provided.
