The campaign of security forces continues for the fourth day in Akhhal Devsar area of Kulgam district of South Kashmir. So far a terrorist has been killed in this campaign.
The Chinar Corps said that on Saturday, security forces killed a terrorist during an overnight encounter in Akhhal area of Kulgam district of South Kashmir. The joint campaign was run by the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF and Special Operation Group (SOC).
The Indian Army’s Chinar Corps said in a post on X, “Operation Akhl. Kulgam. Intensive and intense firing continued overnight. Vigilant soldiers responded to balanced firing and tightened the siege while maintaining contact.”
The post further stated, “The security forces have killed a terrorist so far. The operation continues.”
Earlier on July 30, two militants were killed to infiltrate across the Line of Control in the campaign run by the Indian Army’s White Night Core in Poonch sector.
The White Night Core said in its post, “Operation Shiv Shakti. In a successful anti-infiltration campaign, the vigilant soldiers of the Indian Army killed two militants trying to infiltrate across the Line of Control. Quick action and accurate shelling failed the nefarious plans. Three weapons have been recovered. Three weapons have been recovered. Because this campaign was successful. “
On July 29, Union Home Minister Amit Shah informed the Lok Sabha that Suleman, the top commander of Lashkar-e-Taiba, who was involved in the Pahalgam terror attack, was among the three militants killed by security forces during Operation Mahadev in Jammu and Kashmir.
