Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah's statement about the Amarnath Yatra, said "We want the journey to be without any accident"

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said on Saturday that the tourism sector has been badly affected and the administration is now focusing on ensuring safe and accident -free Amarnath Yatra. He said “Tourism has been affected very badly. We barely come to us in the summer season. Now we are focusing on Amarnath Yatra. We want Amarnath Yatra to be fulfilled without any accident. We want the devotees coming for the Amarnath Yatra to return safe and healthy after their journey.”

The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir was presiding over a meeting with the Hotel Businesses Association at the Civil Secretariat. He held this meeting to discuss the concerns of hotel businessmen after the terrorist attack in Pahalga on 22 April. This attack has greatly affected tourism in the region.

Chief Minister Abdullah assured the various stakeholders present in the meeting that the government is fully committed to cooperate with the region and would carefully consider their valuable suggestions. According to an official release, while addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister called the Chief Minister to prepare a comprehensive and well-planned tourism revival scheme. He said, “I suggest that we suggest that we should give shape without any unnecessary hurry.”

He proposed that after the conclusion of Shri Amarnath ji Yatra this year, a strong tourist revival strategy will be developed with the tourism department. He said that the package should support hotels, houseboats, shikara, taxi, handicrafts and newly managed models like unique shopping festivals on the lines of Dubai should be discovered. To resume Fountain shows and increase tourists’ experience, you should also consider starting other attractions. “

Accepting the difficulties facing the tourism sector, Omar Abdullah said, “I think many of you are struggling with which challenges, whether it is managing establishments, maintaining employees or dealing with certain overheads. Many of you are under pressure due to bank loans.
