In Bokaro district of Jharkhand, 8 Naxalites were killed in an encounter with Cobra Commandos and police of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the Naxalites killed include a prize of one crore rupees. The officers provided this information.
Officials said the encounter took place in Lugu Hills of Lalpania area in the district at around 5.30 am. He informed that the encounter between security forces and Naxalites is still going on.
He said that the ‘209 Commando Battalion for Rejolute Action’ (Cobra) soldiers launched a campaign in which six Naxalites were killed and two INSAS rifles, a ‘self -loading rifle’ (SLR) and a pistol were recovered.
Officials said that no security personnel were reported injured in this encounter. Cobra is a special unit of CRPF which is known for efficiency in forest war strategy.
