News of atrocities on Hindus are continuously emerging in Bangladesh.

Kolkata: ‘Centre for Democracy, Pluralism and Human Rights’ i.e. CDPHR has presented a scary report on the violence against Hindus in Bangladesh. CDPHR President Dr. Prerna Malhotra and Professor Kapil Kumar presented this report named ‘Minorities Under Siege In Bangladesh’ to the public. It has been said in this report that minority Hindus are being subjected to severe atrocities under the protection of the government in Bangladesh. Whatever is happening to Hindus in Bangladesh, it will affect the whole world. The report also says that it is the responsibility of the big countries of the world to put pressure on the interim government of Bangladesh, so that the atrocities against Hindus can be stopped.

‘A lot is going wrong with Hindus’

Speaking on the issues related to the report, Dr. Prerna Malhotra said, ‘This is our third report regarding Bangladesh. Bangladesh is burning. A lot is going wrong with Hindus. The most surprising thing is that the world is silent about this. Minorities are being suppressed and violence is taking place against them. According to our data, 190 cases of subversion were registered within 4 days of Sheikh Hasina’s removal. Apart from this, 16 temples were destroyed. Till August 20, cases of violence were registered against more than 2 thousand Hindus while 69 Hindu temples were demolished. Till now this violence continues continuously.

‘Yunus government did not save Hindus’

Speaking on the attacks by Jihadis on Hindus in Bangladesh, Malhotra said, ‘When the interim government of Mohammad Yunus was formed on August 8, we thought that these matters would calm down but it did not happen. The job of the government is to protect the people, but nothing was done to protect the minorities. Incidents like Pakistan and Afghanistan happened in Bangladesh also. He said that Jihadis are not sparing even women and children and 477 cases of violence have been registered against them, genocide is taking place openly. Malhotra said that slogans have been raised against Hindus, anyone who is different from the thinking of Islam has been wronged. According to the report, genocide is taking place to eliminate Hindus from Bangladesh. (Report: Omkar Sarkar)
