Nadda said that on 29 October 2005, serial bomb blasts took place in Sarojini Nagar, Paharganj and Govindpuri in Delhi. This attack was carried out by Lashkar-e-Taiba. 67 people were killed, 200 injured. These explosions took place just before Diwali. Imagine the atmosphere of that time and understand the insensitivity of the then government that they did not take any action. After this, on 7 March 2006, there was a bomb blast at Sankat Mochan Temple in Varanasi and Varanasi Cantt railway station. This attack was carried out by Harkat-ul-Jihad. It killed 28 people and injured 100. Still no action was taken. This was followed by Mumbai train bomb blasts on 11 July 2006. Indian Mujahideen along with Lashkar-e-Taiba carried out the attack. 209 people were killed and 700 people were injured. After that, a joint anti-terrorism system was formed, aimed at developing a state policy against terrorism. But what happened? The first meeting was two months later and the second was seven months later. No meaningful action was taken.

The Union Minister said, I am referring to these incidents so that it can be shown how the government of that time treated Pakistan. In 2007, a series of bomb blasts were carried out by Harkat-ul-Jihad in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, killing 11 people. In the same year, in Lucknow, Ayodhya and Varanasi, there were a series of explosions by Harkat-ul-Jihad and Indian Mujahideen. Nevertheless, after these attacks, on 1 October 2007, the government allowed cargo ships to pass through both sides of the Wagah and Attari borders, which looked like a bonus. India and Pakistan also signed an air service agreement. The number of flights between the two countries was increased from 12 to 28. The government simply appeased, Pakistan never put real pressure to oppose terrorism.

BJP national president JP Nadda said, “On the issue of Balochistan and other regions, the then Prime Minister had said that India is ready to discuss all issues with Pakistan, including pending issues. Now, this is a kind of political leadership and conversely, Prime Minister Modi’s political leadership, who has clearly stated, cannot run together.
