JP Nadda Lashed out at Oposishan in Rajya Sabha: JP Nadda, JP Nadda Lashed Out at the opposition during the discussion on the opposition during the discussion on the Waqf Amendment Bill

New Delhi. Union Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda said in discussion on the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Rajya Sabha, “I stand in support of this bill and I hope that the House will also support this bill.” Nadda said, the basic objective of this bill is to improve and manage the Waqf properties properly. This bill is in the interest of the national, not in the interest of any party or for the politics of appeasement. He said, as the president of a responsible political party, I strongly oppose the misleading statement being spread over this bill and through this House and the people of the country want to clarify that the government -led government is fully committed to maintaining democratic norms and moving forward in a transparent and legitimate manner.

Nadda said, Waqf by user has been removed in this bill. Although I do not want to bring religious matters in this discussion or do not want to make an uncomfortable statement, but donors should be genuine. JP Nadda gave an example, saying, it is said in the courts that when you have arguments, you are satisfied and speak accordingly and when you do not have arguments, you try to spread sensation. I saw the debate derailed and wandered. I saw the same in the Lok Sabha yesterday. The opposition keeps talking about the constitution. They keep a copy of it in a pocket, remove it again and again and keep quoting from it. But this is what they do – nothing more than this. On the other hand, we actually follow the constitution and implement it.

The BJP president said, there was a provision in the Old Waqf Act that civil Waqf Board decisions cannot be challenged in general courts. Is this not a violation of Article 21? The Supreme Court has said that violating the right to property is similar to violating the right to life. The Old Waqf Act became more powerful than the judiciary.
