BJP MLAs gave a memorandum to the President
Earlier, Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta had issued a statement in which he accused the Aam Aadmi Party government of violating the Constitution. He said that a delegation of BJP MLAs met President Draupadi Murmu on August 30 and submitted a memorandum demanding the dismissal of the Delhi government.
Gupta says that the Delhi government did not constitute the Sixth Delhi Finance Commission and did not take any action on the CAG report, which is a violation of the Constitution. He also informed that the President’s Secretariat has taken cognizance of the memorandum and sent it to the Home Ministry. BJP MLAs have appealed to the Home Ministry to take immediate action on it. This matter has now become a topic of discussion in political circles, and all eyes are on the decisions of the court and the Home Ministry in the coming days.
