New Delhi. Mohammad Javed, accused in the famous Kanhaiyalal murder case of Udaipur, has got bail. Javed is accused of planning to carry out this murder along with the main accused in this case, Mohammad Riyaz Attari. A bench of Justice Pankaj Bhandari and Justice Praveer Bhatnagar of Rajasthan High Court said, NIA has not been able to prove the charge, the accused has been in jail for a long time and the trial of this case will go on for a long time, so he is granted bail. Earlier, Mohammad Javed had filed an application for bail in the NIA court. After the bail was rejected by the NIA court on 31 August 2023, Javed had appealed for bail in the High Court. Another accused in this case, Farhad Mohammad alias Babla, has got bail from the NIA court on 1 September 2023 last year. Among the accused in this case, Pakistan resident Salman and Abu Ibrahim are absconding.
What was Kanhaiyalal murder case-
Udaipur resident Kanhaiyalal was a tailor by profession. On 28 June 2022, Mohammad Riyaz Attari and Gaus Mohammad brutally murdered Kanhaiyalal by slitting his throat after entering his shop in broad daylight. Not only this, the killers also made a video of cutting the throat and made it viral on social media. Actually, a comment related to Prophet Mohammad was posted from Kanhaiyalal’s social media account. A case was registered against Kanhaiyalal on the complaint of neighbor Nazim, after which he was arrested. The very next day Kanhaiyalal was released on bail. On 15 June 2022, Kanhaiya Lal received death threats. After this Kanhaiya filed a request for protection with the police. The police advised him to keep the shop closed for a few days and install CCTV. A day or two later, the police told Kanhaiyalal that he can now open his shop. This entire incident took place between June 8 and June 18. On June 19, Kanhaiya reopened his shop. From June 20 to June 24, he started receiving continuous threats. On June 25, a woman and a man came to the shop and threatened to kill Kanhaiyalal. After this, on June 28, Mohammad Riyaz Attari and Gaus Mohammad slit Kanhaiyalal’s throat.
