This cylinder was found in a bag on the train track. The cylinder is said to be old. For the third time in 4 months, a cylinder has been found kept on the train track in Kanpur. At the same time, this is the second incident of LPG cylinder being found on the track in Shivrajpur. Earlier, on September 8, 2024, LPG cylinder and some explosives were found on the railway tracks in the same area of Kanpur. At that time Kalindi Express train was about to pass. The special thing is that on December 31, 2024, a LPG cylinder was found on the railway tracks in Pune also.
Police and ATS had also investigated at that time, but it was not known who kept the cylinder on the train track. The case of keeping LPG cylinder on the railway track in Shivrajpur, Kanpur happened last Tuesday. Railway employee Ramesh Chandra has lodged a complaint in this matter at the GRP police station. Apart from Shivrajpur, there has also been an incident of LPG cylinder being found on the railway track in Prempur area of Kanpur. Cases of heavy objects being kept on railway tracks have also come to light in other parts of UP. Apart from this, in Rajasthan too, an attempt has been made to cause a train accident by placing a cement block on the railway track.
In view of such incidents, Railways has decided to install CCTV in front of all its engines and outside the train coaches. However, it will take a year to fully implement this scheme. By installing CCTV cameras outside the train, people pelting stones standing on the side of the track can be identified. At the same time, through the cameras installed in front of the engine, the loco pilot will be able to see the things kept on the track more easily.
