New Delhi. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who is involved in the Muda land scam case, will now be interrogated. Lokayukta police has sent a summons to the CM to appear at the Mysore Lokayukta office on Wednesday morning for questioning. Along with Siddaramaiah, his wife and other family members are also accused in this land scam case. It is alleged that the land of CM Siddaramaiah’s wife was acquired by Mysore Urban Development Authority i.e. MUDA and in lieu of that, 14 more expensive plots were allotted to her. Due to this the government suffered a revenue loss of several crores.

Whereas CM Siddaramaiah says that the land which was acquired was gifted to his wife by his brother (brother-in-law). He said that there was no demand for those plots from our side but Muda itself allotted those 14 plots. In this case, the Governor had approved the order of Lokayukta inquiry against the CM, his wife and his wife’s brother. After that the CM had filed an appeal with the Karnataka High Court to stay this decision but his petition was rejected there. After this an FIR was registered against the CM.
Not only this, ED has also taken cognizance of this matter and registered a case against the Chief Minister under PMLA. On the other hand, seeing the matter escalating, the Chief Minister’s wife had written a letter to Muda for the return of the plot, after which the CM had to give a clarification. BJP is continuously raising this issue and demanding resignation from Siddaramaiah. However, the Chief Minister has also clearly said that he will not resign. Siddaramaiah says that all these allegations are political. At the same time, JDS party of Karnataka is also continuously attacking Siddaramaiah on this issue.
