Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar said on Wednesday that the state government is planning to set up a separate corporation for ex -servicemen.
Speaking at the Jai Hind Sabha program organized by the Congress party in honor of the armed forces, he said, “We are considering setting up a separate corporation as per the advice of AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge. We are committed to the safety of our soldiers who protect our country.”
He said, “I want to thank all the soldiers who contributed to the security of the country. This program is proof that the Congress party remembers and recognizes the contribution of our soldiers.” The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee organized the Jai Hind Sabha as per the instructions of the All India Congress Committee.
