All seven passengers, including a pilot riding in a helicopter, died on the spot, in the accident due to bad weather and low visibility in the forests of Gaurimai Khark between Gaurikund and Triyuginarayan.
Rudraprayag police said that a case has been registered against Aryan Aviation’s accountable manager Kaushik Pathak and Manager Vikas Tomar under Section 105 of the Indian Justice Code and Section 10 of the Aircraft Act 134 at the Sonprayag police station.
Police said that the case was filed on the basis of the complaint lodged by Revenue Sub Inspector Rajiv Nakholia posted in Fata.
The complaint said that Aryan Aviation was allotted the first slot from 6 to seven in the morning for the helicopter operation on June 15, while the accident took place at 5.30 am before that.
Apart from this, the weather conditions were not tested before the helicopter flew despite the cloud and haze in the sky since morning.
The complaint said that the guidelines issued by DGCA and Yukada in this regard were ignored, while the manager of the company knew very well that doing so could cause loss of life and property of passengers.
According to the complaint, by doing so, the Aryan company and its managers were grossly negligent towards their obligations, causing accidents and seven people died in it.
