Kejriwal will vacate Delhi CM residence in 1-2 days; A house has been finalized for them in Lutyens Delhi: AAP

Aam Aadmi Party on Wednesday said that a house has been fixed for party convenor Arvind Kejriwal in New Delhi area, where he will reach with his family in the next one or two days. He will vacate the official residence of the Delhi Chief Minister at Flagstaff Road in Civil Lines.

Party sources claimed that Kejriwal along with his family may move to one of the two government bungalows allotted to AAP’s Rajya Sabha MPs on Feroze Shah Road near Mandi House.

He told that both these bungalows are just a few meters away from the AAP headquarters located at Ravi Shankar Shukla Lane.

Kejriwal, who resigned as Delhi Chief Minister earlier this month, said he would vacate the government residence on Flagstaff Road during Navratri. This auspicious Hindu festival starts from Thursday.

“Kejriwal will leave the official chief ministerial residence in the next day or two as a house has been finalized for him and his family,” the party said in a statement without disclosing the location of the new residence.

The party said Kejriwal will stay with his family in the New Delhi constituency, which he represents in the Delhi Assembly. Earlier, AAP had demanded from the Central Government that as the head of a national party, Kejriwal should be provided official residence.
