The Kerala Police saved the VP Shameer, who is an Indian businessman living in the UAE safely. He was kidnapped during the holidays in his hometown on Tuesday night.
Four people have been arrested by the police in a ransom case of Rs 1.05 crore. Riyaz Kilton, chairman of the International Promoters Association (IPA), the major trade network of Keralas in the UAE, confirmed that Shameer was found to be safe. He said, “I just spoke to his wife and was told that the police had informed his family about his safety.”
Police officials said they would continue investigating the intention behind the kidnapping and the possible connections.
