New Delhi. Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has said that all parties including Congress agree to remove Justice Yashwant Verma of Allahabad High Court. In an interview to PTI, Rijiju spoke openly on the issue of corruption in the judiciary, including Justice Verma’s house recovery case. Rijiju, referring to the cash recovery case of Justice Yashwant Verma, said that corruption in the judiciary is a very sensitive and serious matter, because the judiciary is the place where people get justice. If there is corruption in the judiciary itself, then it is a matter of serious concern for everyone.

Rijiju said that the proposal to remove Justice Yashwant Verma should be signed by all political parties. For this, I have already talked to all senior leaders of various political parties. I will also contact some single MP parties, because I do not want to leave any member. When asked if the Congress had agreed to support the proposal, the Parliamentary Affairs Minister said, “Yes, I am happy that he should understand things as he should understand, because no party can stand with a corrupt judge nor would he like to defend a corrupt judge.”

Let us tell you that the central government is going to bring impeachment motion against Justice Verma in the monsoon session of Parliament. This proposal requires the signature of 100 MPs. On the other hand, Justice Verma has filed a petition in the Supreme Court to dismiss the report of the inquiry commission against him.
