The report also revealed that Krishnan played an important role in the extradition case against Rana.

His team presented concrete evidence to the US judiciary. Due to this, all the appeals of terrorist Rana were rejected in the US court. Dayan Krishnan has been associated with NIA since the beginning of the extradition process in 2019-20. He and his team also traveled to the US with the NIA to present the case of India.
Krishnan’s important role in searching Rana’s crime horoscope
An NIA official said that the role of Senior Advocate Krishnan has been important to explore and collect the crime horoscope of Tahavvur Rana. With the help of Krishnan, it can be shown in the court that the allegations that India are investigating are different from the prosecution already running in the US.
Case fought by Delhi Police in Nirbhaya case
Krishnan has long been known to handle sensitive and high-profile matters. In 2012, he was appointed a special government prosecutor by the Delhi Police in the Nirbhaya gang rape and murder case. He voluntarily led the prosecution. Considering his role at that time, he said, ‘After the crime, I felt that it was my duty to the society. While discharging my duties towards the society, I will definitely not earn money. ‘
Krishnan helped NIA in David Headley case
Daya Krishnan played an important role in the extradition case of David Coleman Headley, a conspirator of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. He has been a special prosecutor for the NIA and is now involved in the process of extradition of Headley as well as Tahwwur Rana. David Headley, whose real name is Dawood Gilani, is a Pakistani-American terrorist working for Lashkar-e-Taiba. According to media reports, Headley is currently jailed in the US. Where he is serving a 35 -year sentence for his role in 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
About 30 years of legal career
Krishnan, a student of National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, is about 30 years old. He has been part of several major cases including 2001 Parliament attacks, Cauvery water disputes, telecommunications cases, Goa Children’s exploitation case, Nitish Katara murder and gift cinema tragedy. At the same time, his other partner Narendra Mann is also experienced in legal matters and he has more than three decades. He studied at Campus Law Center and Kirorimal College at Delhi University.
