According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Kovid-19 active cases in India are 3,961 till 8 am today. Since January this year, the number of deaths due to Kovid-19 in the country has increased to 32, including four deaths since Sunday.
According to official data, there are 203 new cases in the number of active cases from Sunday.
In Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Kerala, one Kovid-19 deaths have been reported since Sunday. 47 more cases of Kovid-19 were reported in Delhi, causing a total active cases to 483 in the national capital.
Active Kovid-19 cases increased to 1,435 after 35 new cases were reported in Kerala from Sunday. 21 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in Maharashtra, leading to the number of active cases to 506. There were 44 new cases of Kovid-19 in West Bengal, causing an active cases to 331 in the state.
On Friday, Union Minister of State for Health and AYUSH (Independent Charge) Prataprao Jadhav assured that the Center is fully prepared to deal with any situation.
Jadhav told ANI, “Our Union Health Department and Ministry of AYUSH are completely alert and are closely monitoring the situation in all states. We have talked to the concerned health and AYUSH secretaries as well as other ministers.”
He said that the infrastructure developed during the previous Kovid-19 waves has been reviewed and preparations are going on to deal with any situation.
He said, “We have reviewed the infrastructure created during the earlier Kovid waves, such as oxygen plants and ICU beds and have already started preparing. Our health systems are well equipped and ready to deal with any situation arising in response to Kovid.”
Meanwhile, in view of the current Kovid-19 situation in the state, the Karnataka Health Department has issued a circular asking government and private schools to take precautions in the interest of school children.
Instructions are as follows: If school children see fever, cough, cold and other symptoms, do not send them to school. Follow proper treatment and care measures mentioned by the doctor.
