New Delhi. A day before the assembly elections to be held in Haryana, Congress MP Kumari Selja has once again spoken bluntly about the CM face. Amidst open differences with former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda, Kumari Shailaja said that the Congress high command cannot ignore me as a contender for the post of Chief Minister. He said that considering my seniority and work, my name should definitely be among the few people whose names are being discussed for the post of Chief Minister.

In a pod cast interview given to news agency ANI, Kumari Shailja said that only the party high command has to decide who will be the CM in Haryana. My commitment to the party can never be questioned and this is something that the top leadership of the Congress knows and is assured of.

Regarding former Haryana Chief Minister and Congress leader Bhupendra Hooda, Kumari Shailja said, the media does not see anyone greater than those who have been the Chief Minister for 10 years. Till 2005, when Bhajanlal was there, he was still there. Apart from him, the media could not see anyone else because he had been the Chief Minister, but now times have changed. On the question of not being able to become CM till now, Shailja said that how many people are able to reach where I am now. Today my name is being taken as a CM contender whereas at one time the media did not even talk to me.

Shailaja cannot become the Chief Minister, that is why she is bargaining. When asked, she said, which bargaining? Our faith in the Congress Party rests in the high command. I still stand with the Gandhi family and I will continue to stand with them in future too, they realize this.

On the other hand, on Shailja’s statement that the party high command will decide on the CM candidate, Congress MP Deepender Hooda said, this is the process of the Congress. There is nothing wrong in this. First, once the results come, Congress government is formed and then the decision will be taken by the high command.
