Actor Kunal Kamra, who commented on the leaders in his comedy, has had to knock on the door of the High Court to escape an FIR of the Mumbai Police. After the Mumbai Police disregarded three of the summons continuously, Kamra filed a petition to cancel the FIR against him in the Mumbai High Court on Monday 7 April. In this writ petition, interim relief was also sought from the action of the Mumbai Police. The matter was to go to the hearing on 21 April but the court was ready on the immediate hearing by Kamra. Kamra feared that she might not be arrested as the anticipatory bail period from the Madras High Court was ending on 7 April.
The crime of Kunal Kamra is that in a theater on the show in January, he made sharp stars on many industrialists, ruling leaders and arrangements including the election process. He did not come into the discussion then but recently he uploaded it on YouTube and there was a ruckus. Some supporters of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde vandalized the theater by ‘hurt’ by his alleged insult and later the Mumbai Municipal Corporation broke the theater’s alleged ‘illegal’ part of the theater from a bulldozer. Three FIRs were registered against Kamra in Nashik and Jalgaon, which have been transferred to Khar police station in Mumbai. Shiv Sena MLA Murji Patel also filed a case against Kamra at Khar police station.
Kamra has been a victim of anger of the ruling leaders due to his sharp string even before this. Why are the same, from the stand up comedian Veer Das to Munawar Farooqui have suffered such a mess and in some cases have also eaten the air of jail. Goya, there is no taunts in this era. The current resentment of Shinde and his supporters is more than the word ‘traitor’ in a parody of Kamra, which is named without anyone. Kamra initially clarified that the traitor is not my word, in this government, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has also said the same earlier. Later, Uddhav Thackeray, the leader of the Shiv Sena Uddhav faction, said in defense of Kamra that if the traitor would not be called a traitor, what else would he say. Actually, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah were also sharp in that comedy of Kamra. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that no one can be allowed to insult on the pretext of Tanj.
Kamra has clearly refused to apologize. However, he definitely apologized to the 46 -year -old bank employee who came to see the show, who had to appear to testify to the police call. The comedian wrote in the post on X, “I am very sad that you had to face inconvenience due to my joining the show.” The police are calling those people who bought the show tickets online. Awesome, because the video of YouTube has alleged derogatory words. That is, the motive can also be to be cautious to the people.
Even before this, in 2020, in 2020, TV anchor Arnav Goswami was speaking to Indigo Airlines flight, while IndiGo Airlines banned Kamra for six months. Then, Air India, SpiceJet and GoAir also gave restrictions. In May 2020, Kamra superimposed the song ‘Inflation Witch Khaye Jati’ by the film Peepli Live on the song sung by a seven -year -old child during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Germany. Later, Kamra deleted the video at the behest of the child’s father’s objection and the National Child Rights Protection Commission.
Kamra has taunted the Supreme Court’s decision to give quick relief to Arnav Goswami. Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has also been on the target of Kamra. He has also blown up the sharp mockery of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, but during Rahul’s India’s visit, according to Kamra, Rahul said that remain honest towards his profession and never let it be reduced. Prior to 2014, he has tightened the sparkle on former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Sonia Gandhi, etc. But no one ever objected.
So, this round is something else. Even though Kamra says that he speaks under the right to freedom of expression, so he has no embarrassment nor is he afraid of any legal battle. But this period is probably what Dushyant Kumar tells something like this, ‘Don’t say that the fog is dense, it is someone’s personal criticism.’ Now we have to see what decision comes from the court, but it is not good for democracy.
