Kamra said that her right to make jokes on public people is never going to change. He also refused to apologize for his comment. He also said that he is ready to cooperate with the police in any legal action.
After Kamra’s remarks, Shiv Sena activists vandalized the studio in Mumbai where they recorded their comedy show. The Habitate Comedy Club, affected by the attack, has announced temporarily closure. An FIR has already been lodged against Kunal Kamra over this dispute.
“Entertainment Venue is just one platform”
Regarding the mob responsible for the attack on Habitat, Kunal Kamra said, “Entertainment venue is just a platform. It is a place for every type of show. Habitate (or any other venue) is not responsible for my comedy, nor can he control what I say or do, no political party. No political party. Reverse to the lorry carrying tomatoes, as you did not like the served butter chicken. ”
What did you say on the threat of leaders?
On the threats being given by political leaders, he said, “The right to freedom of speaking and expression should not be only to praise rich and powerful people, although the media today is trying to teach. The same is trying to teach. Your disability to not tolerate the joke at the cost of a powerful public person does not change the nature of my rights. As much as I do not know, the leaders and our political system are not against the law.”
Will action be taken against those who sabotage?
Kunal Kamra also reiterated that he is ready to cooperate with the police and the courts, but raised the question whether the law would be equally implemented against those who have vandalized. He also stated that non-elected BMC officials demolished parts of the habitat without any prior notice.
“Next time I will choose the venue that needs to be demolished”
He jokingly said, “Next time I choose the new venue, I will probably choose the Elphinstone Bridge or any other structure in Mumbai, which needs to be demolished quickly.”
Answer to those who leak and bother numbers
Regarding his numbers leaking and constantly harassed, Kamra said, “Those who are leaking my number or calling me continuously, I am sure that by now you must have understood that all unknown calls go to my voicemail, where you will face the song you hate.”
What is the matter?
Actually, Kunal Kamra joined Eknath Shinde to change his frost during a stand-up show. He lashed out at Shinde and called the ‘traitor’. This angered Shinde’s party Shiv Sena workers and vandalized the studios.
