Patna. Congress and Rahul Gandhi are facing blow after blow. On one hand, Congress’s performance in the assembly elections of Haryana and Maharashtra has been very poor. At the same time, on the issue of leadership of Indi alliance, allies are raising their voice one by one against Congress. After Samajwadi Party and Sharad Pawar, now RJD supremo Lalu Yadav has said that TMC President Mamata Banerjee should be given the command of the Indi alliance. Lalu Yadav also ignored Congress’s objections. He said that Congress’s objections regarding the leadership of Indi alliance have no meaning.

Earlier, Samajwadi Party General Secretary Ram Gopal Yadav had advocated handing over the command of Indi alliance to Mamata Banerjee. Whereas, Sharad Pawar said that Mamata Banerjee has the potential to take the Indi alliance forward. The issue of Mamata Banerjee and Indi alliance has arisen after the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Mamata Banerjee had recently told a TV channel that she had formed the Indi alliance, but now she does not know its condition. Mamta had said that if she is given a chance, she can handle the work of Indi alliance only by staying in Bengal. When Samajwadi Party and Sharad Pawar came in favor of Mamata Banerjee, Congress leaders had given a statement that the Indi alliance would discuss and take a decision about its leadership.
Actually, there has always been a figure of thirty-six between Mamata Banerjee and Congress. Mamata Banerjee did not make any alliance with Congress in West Bengal even during the Lok Sabha elections. Mamta Banerjee has directly targeted Congress many times before. At the same time, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Choudhary has been continuously accusing Mamata Banerjee. Even Adhir Ranjan had accused Mamata Banerjee of working together with BJP. Due to all these reasons, relations between Mamata and Congress have not improved till now. Now that Congress has faced a massive defeat in the Haryana and Maharashtra assembly elections, its allies in the Indi alliance are raising questions about it.
