Due to heavy rains in Uttarakhand, there has been a lot of havoc due to landslides and snow -ejaculation. A video of avalanche on the Gangotri highway has also surfaced. Harshil has an avalanche due to heavy snowfall on the Gangotri highway. Snow, debris and boulder fell into the highway and Bhagirathi river. However, the movement on the highway was closed, causing no major accidents. The avalanche on the highway took place on Friday afternoon.

Workers reached Joshimath for treatment
On Saturday morning, the Indian Army rescued 14 civilians from an avalanche place. Search and rescue operations have been conducted for the last 24 hours. Rescue operation has increased due to the calm weather on Saturday. The Indian Army has shifted Joshimath to Joshimath for treatment of three injured personnel through civil helicopters hired. These laborers regularly work for the army to remove snow and were buried in the debris due to avalanche.
Disaster Management Secretary’s statement
Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman said, “The weather is going on continuously there. The Chief Minister is constantly monitoring the situation. The Chief Minister visited the control room twice yesterday. He took detailed information on everything. Defense and relief work is going on fast. Till yesterday, 33 out of 55 people were saved. Defense and relief work is going on for the remaining 22 people. Are more facilities when needed.
Vinod Kumar said “The weather is getting clear in Joshimath. We are building a helipad near Mana, because our helipad is covered with snow. Snow removal work is going on. We hope that rescue and relief work will increase further after the helipad is ready. Due to continuous snowfall, rescue work was stopped at night. No threat was stopped at night. The night was stopped. The work has started again. Our medical teams are ready in Joshimath.
