New Delhi. Lalu Prasad Yadav has suffered a setback from the Delhi High Court in the land scam case in lieu of job. Lalu’s plea has been dismissed by the High Court seeking the cancellation of the FIR lodged by the CBI and staying the lower court proceedings. The allegations against Lalu Yadav and other family members will now be heard before the Special Judge of the Sessions Court on June 2. In this case, Lalu Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi, sons Tejashwi Yadav, Tej Pratap, daughters Misa Bharti, Hema Yadav and others have been accused. Both CBI and ED are investigating the case.

On behalf of Lalu Yadav, lawyer Kapil Sibal presented arguments in the High Court, but the court did not accept his arguments. ED has also questioned Lalu and Rabri Devi in this case. Lalu Yadav is accused that during the tenure of the UPA government from 2004 to 2009, he grabbed the lands of people in the name of jobs. During that time, there was a lot of corruption in the Group D recruitment taken out in the Railway Department and their book land was taken at a very low price instead of giving jobs to the youth.
Companies named AB Exports and AK Infosystems were used for land purchase. AK Infosystems bought 11 different plots for 1.89 crores which were priced more than this. Later, AK Infosystems were transferred in the name of Lalu Yadav’s family at a price of 1 lakh. Although Lalu Yadav’s elder son Tej Pratap was not named in this case earlier, but later his name was also included in the charge sheet. The CBI filed the final charge sheet on 6 July last year. In this, 78 people were accused by the CBI.
