New Delhi. RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s difficulties are not decreasing in the job scam case instead of land. The Rouse Avenue Court of Delhi has issued summons to Lalu Yadav and his family members and ordered personally appearance. Apart from Lalu, the court has summoned his son Tej Pratap Yadav, daughter Hema Yadav. The ED has filed a charge sheet in this case. The court had earlier issued summons to Lalu Yadav and his two sons Tejashwi and Tej while taking cognizance of the charge sheet of the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
On October 7 last year, the Rouse Avenue Court has already granted bail to Lalu Yadav, Tejashwi and Tej Pratap on a personal bond of one lakh rupees. The court ordered everyone to submit their passport. Although the ED has not made Lalu’s elder son and former Bihar Education Minister Tej Pratap an accused in his charge sheet, he may have a role in the case due to his family members, due to which he has been issued summons. The first summons to Tej Pratap was released to appear on 18 September 2024. In this case, the ED has named 78 accused including Lalu, including his wife Rabri Devi, son Tejashwi Yadav, daughter Hema Yadav.
The scam took place between 2004 and 2009 during the tenure of the UPA government at the center when Lalu Yadav was the Union Railway Minister. Lalu Yadav is alleged to have taken his ancestral land instead of giving jobs to the youth of Bihar in Group D recruitment at that time in Railways. These lands were first transferred in the name of a company and later registered in the name of Lalu’s family members.
