New Delhi. A major accident happened today on the Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra route. There has been a sudden landslide near Panchhi helipad on the Himkoti walking route leading to the temple. It is being told that two devotees have died in this, while many other pilgrims have been injured, a child is also among the injured. Relief and rescue operations are being carried out. The video of this landslide incident is also going viral on social media. It can be seen in it that the debris suddenly collapsed and fell on the Yatra route, due to which the tin shed was completely broken. If this shed was not there, the damage could have been even more.

Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has informed that this accident happened at around 2:35 pm near Panchhi, 3 km before the temple of Mata. All the pilgrims have been requested to be cautious. The journey on this route has been stopped for the time being while the journey is continuing on the other route. It is being told that it has been raining in Jammu and Kashmir for the last few days. Due to this, stones are falling from the mountains.

Earlier on August 15, there was a landslide on the Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra route, however, luckily no one was injured in that incident. In the year 2023, 93.50 lakh devotees reached Bhawan to visit Mata Vaishno Devi. The journey continues throughout the year in every season be it summer, winter or rainy.
