A major accident took place in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday morning. At least five workers, including two women, were killed in a sudden blast on Tuesday at a cracker construction factory in Shivkashi in the state. Police gave this information.
Police said that this fierce fire engulfed the entire unit and many people were injured. After the blast, the sound of smoke and firecrackers erupted from the factory was heard far and wide.
Virudhunagar District SP Kannan said that five people were killed and five others were injured in an explosion in a cracker factory at Chinnamanpatti near Shivkashi. He was admitted to Virudhunagar Government Hospital for treatment.
According to sources, a fierce fire broke out due to the explosion. During this time, dense smoke was seen rising from the factory. There were also voices of firecrackers from inside. The cause of the explosion is not yet known. The injured have been rushed to the nearest hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. The cracker factory explosion occurred at a drug plant in Telangana exactly a day after the reactor explosion, killing 34 people.
