New Delhi: A high -level security meeting is going on in the Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday, in which there is a thorough discussion about the internal security of the country. This meeting has been called after a horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, in which 26 people were killed. Most of the people who lost their lives were tourists. This high -level meeting is presided over by Home Secretary Govind Mohan.
The meeting was attended by the Director General of Border Security Force (BSF), Assam Rifles and National Security Guard (NSG), besides the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and senior officials of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). According to sources, an anti-terrorism campaign is being carried out at many places in Jammu and Kashmir. At the moment, no specific information is being shared in view of the sensitivity of the operation.
Action against people associated with terrorism
On Monday, Jammu and Kashmir Police raided 13 places to demolish terrorists bases in Doda district and take action against people associated with terrorism. At the same time, Srinagar Police also raided over ground workers (OGWS) and allies of banned terrorist organizations.
Search for 63 people’s homes in Srinagar
According to a police press release, a total of 63 people were searched in Srinagar. The search operation was legally conducted under the supervision of Jammu and Kashmir Police Officers in the presence of Executive Magistrates and independent witnesses. The purpose of this action is to collect evidence and intelligence information through the recovery of weapons, documents, digital devices etc., so that any conspirator or terrorist activity can be stopped in time.
