Liberian ship crashed.
Kochi: A major accident occurred near the beach in Kerala. The Liberian cargo ship suddenly bent about 38 knots from the coast. This caused several containers loaded on the ship to fall into the sea. The risk of environmental damage has increased after this incident. Officials gave information about the incident on Sunday. However, the Indian Navy and the Coast Guard immediately took the front and reached the spot and started the rescue operation. All 24 people in the ship were safely rescued. Of these, 21 were rescued by the Indian Coast Guard and 03 by INS Sujata.
On Sunday morning, a defense public relations officer informed about the incident. He said, “Three members of the ship’s crew have been rescued with the help of ‘INS Sujata’.” He said that some more containers have fallen into the water and the ship has been submerged in more water. The risk of environmental damage is increasing due to this incident. Work is being done on measures to pull the ship by the Indian Navy and Coast Guard. He further said that another ship of the ship’s ownership company has reached the area for assistance.
At the same time, the Defense Public Relations Officer also informed that it is being assessed whether the ship can be dragged and taken to a safe place for which professional assessment is going on. Earlier, officials had said that 21 out of 24 members of the crew on the ship had been rescued. The Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) has appealed to the people not to touch any container or oil leakage, which may come to the sea shore. KSDMA has also asked people to immediately inform the police if they look at the container or oil on the shore.

On Saturday (May 24), at around 1.25 pm, the ship’s ownership company informed the Indian officials that its ship had bent up to 26 degrees. He demanded immediate assistance. The ship consists of a 24 -member crew on a Russian (captain), 20 Philippines, two Ukrainians and a Georgian citizens.
