New Delhi: Eid festival was celebrated with pomp across the country today. During this time, political personalities also congratulated each other on Eid. At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated Eid to Mohammad Yunus, the head of the interim government of Bangladesh. PM Modi sent a message and congratulated the people of Muslim-dominated neighboring country on Eid-ul-Fitr. The message shared by the press unit of Mohamma Yunus said, “The holy month of Ramadan is ending, I heartily congratulate you and the people of Bangladesh on the occasion of the happiness of the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr.”

Message sent to Mohammad Yunus

PM Modi wrote that in this holy month, 200 million Indians who believe in Islam fasten and pray with their brothers and sisters around the world. Prime Minister Modi described the occasion as “the time of celebration, gratitude and unity” and said that “it reminds us of the values ​​of compassion, generosity and solidarity, which binds us together as members of the nations and the global community.” The message said, “We have peace, harmony, good health and happiness for people around the world.”

No exchange of sweets

On the occasion of Eid, many times sweets are exchanged between India and Pakistan. However, this time the LoC was not exchanged between India and Pakistan. Usually exchanging sweets during special occasions or festivals is considered a symbol of peace and harmony. According to this tradition, sweets are exchanged between the military forces deployed on the border of the two countries, which gives the message of a slight positivity and peace in bilateral relationships.
