Samajwadi Party (SP), Trinamool Congress and some other opposition parties MPs created a ruckus in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday during the Zero Hour, due to which the proceedings of the House were adjourned till 2 pm.
At the end of the Question Hour in the House, Chairman Om Birla reported the postponement notice of various opposition members. Meanwhile, members of SP, Trinamool Congress and other opposition parties started shouting slogans on some issues. Some SP members also had placards in their hands.
Chairman Birla urged the members not to show the plank and poster and said, “If you bring the plank, the House will not run.” I will allow you to speak on all issues in zero hour. ”
SP members were demanding to let their leader Akhilesh Yadav speak. During this time some members came near the posture.
The chairman said, “Akhilesh ji, you ask them to keep the plank down. I have said that after completion of the list of zero hour, I will allow Akhilesh to speak.
During this time, Kalyan Banerjee, a member of the Trinamool Congress, was shouting slogans loudly.
Birla appealed to the members who are creating a ruckus to sit at their place and let the proceedings go and said, “You don’t want to run the House?” Do not want to run zero hour? Zero hour is an important time. Many members have to speak in it. ”
He said that he would allow members to raise all issues during zero hour.
The Speaker also expressed unhappiness over the slogans of the members and said, “Shout slogans outside the House. It is not allowed in the House. If you create deadlock in the House, shout slogans, then the House will not work. The House will run through the system and the rules, it will run with dignity. ”
Birla’s appeal had no effect on opposition members. After the commotion in the House did not stop, the Speaker adjourned the proceedings till around 12.05 pm till 2 pm.
