The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted mixed weather across the country next week in the bulletin released on June 7, 2025. North-west India, especially West Rajasthan, is expected to run heat stroke on 8–10 June, while the heat will increase in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and parts of Madhya Pradesh on 9-10 June.
The temperature in Delhi-NCR can reach 43-44 ° C, although no alert has been issued. In contrast, rain and storm are expected in South and Eastern India. Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu will receive heavy rains in the next 3-4 days, as the monsoon is reactivated in the southern peninsula.
Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema and Karnataka will have thunderstorms and rain with winds at a speed of 30–40 km/h from 6-10 June. Yellow alerts continue for heavy rains and storms in several districts of Maharashtra including Pune, Raigad, Ahmednagar and Solapur.
Mumbai was cloudy and sporadic rains on Saturday, as well as a red alert of extremely heavy rain for three hours in the afternoon. Heavy rains continue in the northeastern states like Assam and Meghalaya. Eastern Rajasthan (6-8 June), Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand (11-12 June) may receive sporadic rains.
West Rajasthan will have dusty winds at a speed of 30-40 km/h till 8-10 June. IMD reported that the monsoon may knock in Delhi next week, which will provide relief from the heat.
